The exhibit opened in October 2023, just days after the deadly strike on Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, as we began to grapple with the weight of terror that deepened with each passing moment of Israel’s siege on the Strip. The exhibition traces the modern history of Gaza through its traditional textiles, alongside the showcasing of the iconic Intifada dress. Its displays remain part of the “Palestinian Splendor” permanent section at the Centre.
